	Overview USAID Key Actions to Date USAID Global and Regional Avian Influenza Activities Behavior Change Communications Avian Influenza Situation Updates
		A Participatory Disease Surveillance (PDS) Officer speaks with villagers in Lampung Province, Indonesia, about nearby poultry. PDS teams in 166 high-risk provinces gather information about possible AI outbreaks from poultry owners and community members, and educate them about how to prevent, recognize, and report AI. Suspicious outbreaks are reported to Participatory Disease Response (PDR) teams, who work with farmers and local government to implement outbreak response and control measures.
